My favorites for week 7, 2010

Big GrinSomething to laugh: my favorite comic strip of the weekabout the first mouse

It is said that the early bird gets the worm. It is also said that the second mouse gets the cheese. I prefer the second saying. Nevertheless, this “Wizard Of Id” comic strip proves that this saying is not always true.

Eye-rolling Something to watch: my favorite video clip of the weekabout a haka

The All Blacks, New Zealands famous rugby team, is well known for their way to start a game: with a Maori war dance – the haka. This dance looks scary for the opponent, but its main purpose is to generate the team spirit needed for the upcoming fight, or game, or whatever challenge the team is facing.
Somehow I always find it impressive to see how everyone in the team participates and demonstrates the power of one team.

Watch “Kapo o Pango” on youtube to see what I am talking about.

ApplauseSomething to learn: my favorite tip of the weekabout firefox shortcut keys

This lifehacker article mentions a few interesting shortcut keys in firefox I wasn’t aware of so far. Like using Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+8 to navigate through your tabs. Convenient this is !

Something to enjoy: my favorite photo  on flickr under a Common Creative licenseabout a lake in Canada

Lake Louise TM 06
"Lake Louise TM 06" by Jim Dollar.

Canada definitely is a country I have to travel to sooner or later. Hopefully sooner. Jim Dollar published this awesome shot taken in Banff National Park. He has a lot of awesome shots in his flickr photo stream, some may be a little bit too much photoshopped with a bit of too much color, but nice though.
